Scokie was born when ovgo Baker was first founded, as a result of a mistake made while making cookies.
I put rice flour in the bowl instead of wheat flour,
With a little ingenuity, we baked it and created some delicious baked goods.
Scokies are a hybrid of scones and cookies, with an indescribable texture that is crunchy like a cookie and crumbly like a scone.
When customers asked us if we had any gluten-free sweets at our stores, we would answer, "We don't use wheat flour in our oatmeal cookies," but we wanted to have more varieties for our customers to enjoy, so we made lots of prototypes and finally made Skokie gluten-free❣️🌾
